Terms of service
Last updated October 30, 2026
These terms summarize how our snow removal passes work. Your signed service agreement is the final document, and it takes priority if it says something different.
Quotes
Online estimates are for a typical lot. We confirm your exact monthly price after we review your driveway and sidewalk, and before you sign.
Winter season and visits
- The winter season runs from November 1 to March 31. We can extend it on request.
- The minimum term is one month. You can stop service with 10 days' notice.
- A visit is triggered by a snowfall of 1 cm or more. We arrive within 12 hours after the snow stops. After a very heavy snowfall it can take longer, and we tell you.
- Each pass includes 5 standard visits a month, for snow up to 10 cm. Snow of 10 to 20 cm counts as 1.5 visits, 20 to 30 cm as 2, and over 30 cm as 3.
- Every extra visit in the same month is $30 on the Walkway pass, $70 on the Driveway pass and $90 on the Corner lot pass. Patios are $15 extra.
- The salt and gravel mix is included in your monthly price.
- Patios are not part of a pass and cost $15 extra. We do not clear the ridge of snow that the city plough leaves at the end of your driveway.
- If you are not happy with a visit, tell us within 24 hours and we come back and fix it at no charge.
Discounts
Neighbour and season prepay discounts cannot be combined. We apply the best one for your situation.
Billing
We take no deposits. We send one invoice at the end of each month for the work we actually did, whatever the length of your agreement. You can pay by cash, cheque or Interac e-Transfer. If it suits you better, you can pay in two parts, every two weeks. Season prepay, if you choose it, is paid before the first visit.
If an invoice is not paid, we may pause or end service after a notice, as set out in your agreement and the law.
If you are away
You can keep your pass while you are away for several months. We keep clearing your property as long as you pay on time, give us access to it, stay in touch and follow your agreement.
Ending the agreement
- We may end service if a customer threatens, insults or behaves aggressively toward our crew.
- You may end service if we seriously fail to keep the agreement. Delays caused by weather or other circumstances beyond our control are taken into account.
- If a customer does not pay or does not give access to the property, we may ask for the problem to be fixed or end the agreement.
- You pay for work that was properly done. Advances and materials are handled as set out in your agreement and the law.
- Both sides will first try to settle any disagreement in a friendly way.
Your property
Please tell us about gates, delicate pavers, decks and anything buried in the snow. We mark driveway edges before the first freeze. We are not responsible for damage to items we could not see or that were not disclosed.
Weather and safety
In severe weather we may need extra time. We will tell you if your visit will be delayed.
